Link to specific point in a YouTube video

March 25, 2009

To link to a video on YouTube that starts playing at a specific time, just include a suffix to the video URL.

For example, to link to the video

at time three minutes and thirty seconds, change the link to

where ’3m31s’ indicates the time.
